in v7, you can get vastly different results from the same prompt, just by changing image refs, srefs, profiles, moodboards or style creators. 

you basically explore first, then refine, which makes sense.

v8 workflow feels much different. it follows prompts more closely, but the output feel less flexible and a bit inconsistent, which kind of removes midjourney's biggest strength. 

it's faster at generating images, sure. but you end up spending more time trying to prompt and get the style right, which makes it slower overall.

for now, v7 is much better at art direction.
